I wonder what the most insulting way is to tell y'all that I'm having the most f-ing great time in the States, and not in Europe. I think it would help if I would tell you that you guys are ignorant by claiming that people in the States are horrible for voting for Bush, and for being stuck-up and whatever, but on this very moment of writing, I stopped caring. I really am having a great time over here, and people are very nice. I see American flags all over the place, but I guess that's just the way people are over here. I'm having a blast. Even though I miss you guys sometime. I don't miss my country, America is a fucking great substitute. No wonder so many of our ancestors moved over here.

Hugs and kisses,

Kat.

In my second year, I did not pass all of my classes. One of the classes I still have to retake iss the law of biens/property law [Dutch: goederenrecht]. This is considered a very difficult topic and there are just too many students that have to retake the subject. We always get assigned one of the biggest classrooms because else it just will not fit.

Right now, I am taking the following classes: law of biens, private law (minor, English), mediation (minor, Dutch) and legal counsel (minor, Dutch/English). When I was doing some research for private law, I found out that we Dutch have a really good civil code. And when I mean good, I mean good. It is good enough to be an example for other counties such as the U.S.A. and Russia. Russia has copied parts of our entire Civil Code, which does make me proud of that fine piece of legislation we have. It is very much alive (it gets changed a little bit every year), but the main structure remains the same. Where most other countries were to scared of the work and the hassle that comes with re-writing the Civil Code, we Dutchmen were not afraid to do it. This happened back in 1992 by some very smart men. The different chapters were organized in a very clear way and the old laws were rewritten. Realizing that, and having read a lot of information about the civil codes of other countries (England for example) I am so grateful for our CC. It also makes me realize that I should not dislike my class law of biens, I should really appreciate it and realize I could be studying a horrible piece of legislation. It's beginning to dawn on me and it motivates me to pass this class.

Which Vampire: The Masquerade clan do you belong in?

Wild and fiercely independant, Clan Gangrel is the home of the feral undead. Most Gangrel emulate the beasts of the wild, preferring to chase down their prey in the open country (in stark contrast to the city-dwelling proclivities of most vampires). Their avoidance of the vampires' ancestral foes, the werewolves, might be attributable to their impressive powers of shapeshifting. They cannot help but show some traces of their wild roots, however, as many Gangrel are marred with bizzarre, animalistic features.
